Skin Care

It's a true summer day and we're about to hit the beach! First I wanted to share a highly requested post with you guys. I'm sharing not just my skin care routine, but those products that I can truly rely on and know that I can always come back to. It's kinda like having a relationship with these products, lol! So let's go:

Day & Night
Keeping my lips hydrated is something I always do in the morning, in the night before going to bed, and during the day. Chapped lips just isn't charming and when applying lipstick or lipgloss we can only obtain its beautiful effect if our lips are hydrated. For this I have been using Dior's Crème De Rose which smells great and above all works perfectly. I bring it with me all the time.

Let's continue our conversation on hydrating our skin. I've always been a big fan of Chanel's moisturisers and especially the Hydra Beauty Gel Crème. It makes my skin feel incredibly soft and because it's more of a gel instead of a creme it feels as if I have nothing on my skin. This is great for in the warmer months as during the winter I like to opt for a more thicker consistency. I really recommend trying this one out.

Day
The product that I can rely on the most for during the day is of course one that protects my skin from the sun. It's the Take Shelter by Philosophy, SPF 30. On the packaging it says that it's a sunscreen and environmental shield and I try to apply this underneath my make-up every day, even when it's not that sunny. I really believe we should all be doing this as in the future you will be incredibly happy with it. Research has shown that it's great for reducing fine lines in your face and dark spots. I especially love the one by Philosophy as it feel like a thin layer and goes well under my make-up. You should definitely ask for a sample in stores and find out yourself whether you like it as much as I do.

Night
The Advanced Night Repair Serum by Estée Lauder is one I can absolutely trust as it never has let me down (talking about relationships right). :) It makes my skin stronger, gives a deep hydration and makes sure that it recovers from all the damage that it has obtained during the day. Mine is actually almost empty, so I would have to get another one asap. Also at first I was using this only at night on a clean skin, but I discovered that you can also use it in the morning before moisturising. So I've been doing that sometimes as well.

My next bestie when it comes to skin care products is Origins Super Spot remover (see first photo). I tried out several of his kind but I found that this one is best when it comes to making them disappear asap! I just apply it on the spot as soon as I see it at night on a clear skin.

I've been using toners for over a year know, since before I didn't really knew about it's relevance, or more honestly I didn't really believe in its purpose. After Using Sublime Soft by L'Oréal, my face definitely looked better. I apply it every night on my face after cleansing. It makes sure that all make-up has been removed since after cleansers you will find that there's still a little bit of make-up left on your face. Another important aspect of a toner is that it recovers the natural pH balance of your skin. The skin typically looses pH balance when we apply cleansers and when we expose our skin to pollution. So what do we think?
