More mosaic, ruins, and marble – you guys are probably thinking that I visited all the historical buildings for two days straight, lol. But seriously, I admire these places so much that I just have to share this with you. This location really had something special as I find it so interesting to learn how the Romans used to live years and years ago. We were at Terme di Caracalla, which used to be public baths. Everyone was able to enjoy them, despite of their social class. It's interesting to see how bathing was a way to relax hundreds of years ago, and still is in the present.
The location, the dress, my hair, and the perfect lighting… It probably was a combination of these factors that made me get that ancient feeling. Somehow in my mind I played the role of a goddess, strolling around at the thermae (Italian for public baths). Besides the beautiful location, that feeling was caused by my hair as well: I tried something I haven’t done in a while. I created a side parted hairdo, starting off with a French braid which ends up in a fishtail braid. A hairstyle that suited the warm summery weather (as I like my hair in an updo when the temperature rises) as well as the location at the same time.
